Old Town Chicago was originally known as the cabbage patch due to the farming of cabbage, potatoes, and celery. Old Town is filled with historic Victorian style buildings. It is also known for having a strong influence on folk music. The comedian George Carlin and the band Jefferson Airplane are also from Old Town.
